Mysterious switch - what's it for?

I suspect this may be a common question and apologies if it has been well published but I couldn't find any reference to it. I have a 1996 Defender 90 300 TDi County Station Wagon - just to the right of the steering column near the switch panel (but to inboard side of this panel) for the heated rear screen etc is a stand alone rocker switch. It looks as though it's factory fitted but I wouldn't swear to it - I did bump in to a similar arrangement where twin fuel tanks were fitted to a particular Defender and this was the tank change switch. As it was produced with one tank only I'm perplexed.

its for the cloaking device... it might not seem like it, cos you dont see if fron inside the vehicle, but switch it on, and its invisible from the outside, but dont get out to check, youll never find the handle to get back in.

Come on lads be kind to him you all know what it is.
If you have the Defender previously modified by Albert Nineties it was a technology developed by him to make any car fitted with it invisible to radar speed cameras.
The technology was taken up by a number of motor companies but Ford missed out on it. Land Rover could only be fitted with this technology by Albert.

I have never used it myself but let us know if it works.

Years ago I had a car with a switch that was for testing the dual circuit brakes. I can't remember if it was my 90 that had this. Sorry if I spoiled the game
