my series 3 year of manufacture

can anyone tell me hot to tell when it was made if it was made before jan 1973 its tax free its first registered oct 73 but i thinks it was made earlier anyway i can find out or get a letter to say it was before jan 73???

If you pm me the chassis no somewhere |I have the numbers ifthe last vehcles down the line in 72 and the first in 73 (they didn't comer down in numerical order). If yours is, or could be, pre 73 there is someone at the Heritage Centre at Gaydon can give an official letter that DVLA will accept.

Davec, Could I be really cheeky and ask if you could look up the chassis number of my new landy I got this weekend? Its regestered April '73 so I might be in with a chance of historic status!
