Here are the pictures,

I've found out why I lost the gears yesterday, the overdrive wasn't completely disengaged! You live and learn.

I've been finding the odd bits of rust, so am slowly developing a list of things to do!

I think I must be really quite lucky though, there are no oil leaks and the K&N air filter appears to be doing its job well.

Anyone know how I get the pictures bigger?

I must admit, I'm really chuffed with it.

Now to get myself a Green Bible, parts book and a Haynes...

When should I book my first welding course? I reckon I'll need to be doing a bit by next year!

just buy yourself a welder and get practiseing on scrap its the best way to learn i tought me mate how to use a mig welder and 3 weeks later he got his disco through its MOT by doing his inner sills and inner wheelarches front rather than spend £100 on a sheet of fresh steel he bought a £15 set of metal shelves from b&q and used that with absolutely no quarrels from the mot man appart from are you a professional welder coz itss a bloody neat job youve done
regards john

Nice work fella, I am glad you drove it back its the way to go. As reported, I have just done a 700 mile round trip in my over the mountains with no probs. I do have good seats though.
Also done London to Munich and back twice, once without an overdrive. I went deaf.

As I have said before: allow plenty of time and the Landy will always get you there.

I'm slowly learning the driving quirks, I've had too many years driving souless modern vehicles, to be completely in the Series driving zone, but I'm getting there.

Every time I drive her at the moment, I have such a huge grin on my face!

I'm moving my partner in this week, so plenty of tip runs to look forward too. Great stuff!

I did have a moment today about whether I had taken on too much, but in actual fact, I have a solid 10 months MOT left, so why worry, I hve time to learn and get there.

Sounds like you had masses of fun Stacked, we're doing Ramshackle next year (Split) so the whole road trip holiday speaks volumes to us.

Looking forward to the outcome of this journey ,your a brave man i must admit ,dont think i would attempt it ! you better take a sleeping bag and a new razor etc ! good luck and keep us all up to date with your progress .

I love your plan.... move the Landie in first THEN the partner. Give the landie the benefit of already being resident AND the means by which they moved in. You have done this before! ;)

They almost cme together!

Though in fairness to my partner she drove her yesterday, with a huge grin on her face!

The advantage of a girl brought up in't country!

Should be a laugh come winter, over who gets the Focus and who gets Rita in the snow and ice?

Fingers crossed my partner can even repair an engine, change oils etc, this could be a very handy living arrangement!

Muhahahahahaha!

Ah.... Alas my girl is terrified of a car that doesn't have ABS, power steering and shiny plastic bits. I'm working on her. My first goal is to get the cups of tea flowing during the job rather than only when I'm finished. I fear this may be a lifetimes project! ;) She has decided my 12 yr old old Disco is better than her new Renault though, so I am making progress. Maybe if I replace the foam in her SIII seat so her bum doesn't rattle off the Ali-box she will get more positive... Although I kinda enjoy the abuse I get! :D

Hi Eogz, :welcome2:
Brilliant, you have a good looking motor there. Wish 'd seen it first
Learning landys is a lifetimes experience but loads of fun and loads of frustration
I have found the members of this forum to be the most helpful anywhere - if they don't know then no one does :D
Keep us up to date.
Looks like you have a spare wheel mount on the back door - I've got one for sale ;)
