MY NEW INTRO

Hi all,
I am new to this, but love my 2008 tdv8 Vogue, but it is poorly. I have a problem with shudder I have been told it may be the transfer box, and iI have looked into Dr Tranny shudder fix, (a real eye opener to google i can tell you lol.
my question is has anybody used this and if so, how much does one need to put into the gear box wherever the filler plug is, and most important does it work? I shall be looking around to find if this already has a thread, bhanks to all and lovely to be here

Most likely torque converter clutch breaking down..

The ZF6hp26 is usually quite a robust gearbox but there are a few documented TQ failures..

And the 'box is right at it's torque limit with the 3.6 tdv8.


Has the gearbox ever been serviced?

And whats the mileage!

these boxes benefit from an oil change every 60k they use ZF lifegard 6 also remember to buy a new plastic sump.


The Filler plug is an 8mm allen bolt on the side of the gearbox..


It's also quite a complicated procedure to change the oil.

you need infrared thermometers and a heap of patience!!
