My front cross-member is a round section

I have been under the Landy again....
My front cross member seems to be round section instead of the traditional square section. Is this a standard component or something that has been fabricated? Its a 1987 90 with a 200tdi conversion..

That makes sense as the engine is out of a Disco

Ah, my first google search only showed square ones but an adjusted search shows both round and square
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!!

That is a standard crossmember for that year. My 1990 one went rotton so it now has a squaire one.

Quite right. That is the same crossmember as on my 89 Ninety. Later ones were square.

That’s the same as my 1991 defender

My 93 200 has the round type.
I thought the later feminine square type came out with the pick shirt wearing 300tdi?

My 84 110 had a round one as has my 1990 90

Mine too on my 2001 90

Cheers for all the replies! This all started because I did a search for front cross member and only saw square ones subsequent search stating gearbox cross member shows both
I really should do better research lol
