my first landy

hey guys thought it stick some photos of my motor up, its a 97 disco with the usual rust lol only cost me £ 450 and runs sweet as a nut.

plans are to tray back and cage, think i have a long way to go though. plenty holes need repairing first off.

any pointers to help with the build are gratefully accepted

Yeah. Thats the main reason i plan on chopping it up. Too much work to get roadworthy again. Got some steel ordered today for my sills . making them from box section. On holiday next week so hopefully get a few good days at it

replacing the sills with box section is a fairly straight forward job, welding upside down is the hardest part.
a worthwhile job if your off roading it

Got a few hours in yesterday so back is off now. Plan on shortening the rear chassis but what do people use for fuel tanks and pumps. Would of mounted mine on top but its massive

Plenty of welding to be done. It appears to be held together by holes. Inner sills are gone . Need to weld something in to weld my box section to. More work than i had hoped to do but may as well do it properly

got a couple of days in this week still plenty to be done , this is gonna take a while. just as well it's not my daily, my welding is not pretty but it strong

that's only the passenger side, hope the drivers side is much better

progress is really slow, my passenger side now looks like a floor again and my sill is also in , needs a paint up before i start on the other side but ill get their

managed to get a good few days in over xmas hols, so jeep is looking much better now


this side is now finished and floors are almost done, 1 more patch in each foot well and some odd bits tidying up to be done. also bought a couple of 35 tyres to go on.

does anybody know what pressure the diesel pump runs at ?
