my first ever defender

hi folks first ever land rover for the last 5 years ive been playing around with my trusty impreza but I felt it was time for a change so I did a px for a defender 90, only got her today and drives really well, couple of problems ive found as im sure they all have them, bonnet keeps popping open when driving and my wipers don't work slow speed, any help or pointers in the right direction would be great,
