nowt much left of it to be fair. ;)

In your OP you say it’s to have a lower RPM when driving at highway speeds. Is this the sole reason then?

Would dropping down to say, 56mph not be a better option for you? It would be unlikely to add any considerable time to your journey - especially if you encountered any traffic etc.
Driving at 56mph versus 75mph is 75% so a 6 hour drive becomes 8 hours.

If you think that two hours of extra driving in a particular day is not any considerable time, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

As I have stated many times I will be driving on highways throughout Europe, where you don't regularly get slowed down by traffic.

I made the trip in reverse when I moved from Portugal to England 10 years ago so I know the roads and I know the traffic conditions.

As I have also stated on this thread, it is more dangerous to drive slowly on a highway than drive at the same speed as almost everybody else, especially given that a lot of these roads are only two lanes in each direction.

I would have to drive with large trucks that give off petrol or diesel fumes rather than driving with cars that give off less fumes.

Also these particular drives on the highways are incredibly boring and I want them to take as little time as possible.

Do I need to explain more or can you just accept that my original question was posed based on my particular situation and I do not need to change my question or do something different because somebody else here cannot understand that my life is different to theirs?

You also posted in the OP about travelling at 60mph.. so based it off that. On the other forum you also mentioned slowing your speed down, so you seem to be providing conflicting information and appear to be trying to be antagonistic now.

Either way:

Stop procrastinating & put yer money where your mouth is. Buy a set of diffs & chuck them in, you can have the last laugh if
it works or will you do a John Darwin disappearing act. 🤣 🤣
I have already answered the multiple "just do it" comments so I will not bother again.

I am not the type of person that needs to have the last laugh.

I have had so many laughs from all of the arrogant stupid condescending comments, that I do not need a final laugh at the end.

Once you idiot stop making your insulting stupid comments here I will forget about this thread and get on with my life.

My life does not revolve around this forum.

But thanks for giving me one more laugh.

so whats the problem with driving at 75mph the l322 is capable of doing so quite easily, the engine is right in its power band too..

don't understand the issue, making mountains out of molehills.
I've already answered this question several times so I won't bother again.

But my car is not the same as your car or the typical L322 and my situation is not the same as your situation.

You are welcome to go through the many pages of this insane thread to find the answer to this question, I cannot be bothered.

I was just giving examples of speeds, not preparing a legal document for cross-examination by the prosecution.

But 60 mph or 70 mph, what is the difference?

I won't be driving at 500 RPM in either situation which is the only situation where any of the hysterical problems that people have mentioned would actually occur.

I mentioned going slower as an option but it is not my preferred option which is why I asked my differential question here in the first place.

But if the differentials are really difficult to install or they don't fit or there is some other problem then I would do that solution.

I am not being antagonistic, I am reacting to 20 something pages of arrogant losers insulting me, rather than bending over and taking it or going silent.
