Ah Chemistry... thought that went down the drain long ago! How long does it take to mix (i.e. are you standing there for hours?)

And will it work in a TD5? I dont half like the sound of 89p per litre though!

Takes about 3/4 of an hour from start to finish.
I will reserve judgement about the td5,suck it and see,try 15 litres mixed in reduced percentages, you can always go straight back to deishull fill it up and drown the concokshun:D

Can you just use WVO and diesel straight in a 300 tdi 50/50 blend? or can you use 100% WVO in a 300? Obviously it need filtering first but down to what particle size> 5 microns?

Carefull with the wvo it does have water and all kinds of ****ey food particles in it,5 microns is good,1 is fantastic.

An ordinary diesel engine can,t run on 100% pure vegetable oil without some sort of thinning or conversion. Veggie is too thick and gloopy to get through the fuel pump and injectors. Instead, try to thin down the veg oil so that it works correctly in the engine. Theres two ways to do it, mix it with something, or convert it into biodiesel.

This is what to do.
Run your tank almost empty.
Then put a load of bio in or deisel, bout 45 litres.
Then add the veg oil. Rapeseed (no AFS)is best as it's the runniest.
Go for a twisty drive to mix it all up nicely.

How much veg oil should you use? Start with a light blend, and increase each time you refill. That way, if you notice your car sputtering, you know you’ve hit the limit and should use less next time, and you can top up with regular diesel to thin the mixture back down.

Go for it.
