Have sent over to AVCIS along with our suspicions. I've mentioned to them that there is a chance that a forum member on here may pay a visit to sus things out....... Kinda hoping AVCIS may then flag to local plod so that there would be a better reaction if it was called in....

what will he get if it turns out to be nicked , handling stolen goods or if the shi*e is at it a lot he could say he bought in good faith and play stupid and walk , ,

if it turns out to be stolen but he has a receipt to prove he paid good money for it they could take it off him, all depends if its recently stolen and still going through the insurance or not, if the insurance has paid out it could go to court and like i said if there are receipts for proof of purchase then they have to try and prove he knew it was stolen and didnt just buy it in good faith (ive nearly fallen foul of this quite a few years ago with a car i bought, luckily turned out to be a true car)

looks like hes edited the item description as there is nothing now to indicate what year its on or a reg, says he revised it yesterday and took out the pre imputted stuff, i have asked the question what year is it exactly on, i wait with baited breath lol

What if he has a receipt but all his dodgy changes he has done himself surely show he is trying to poorly disguise it therefore knows

What part of that's a td5? Besides the alloys

I think you need to look at the pic again. That is clearly a Tdi bulkhead. Also, the wings do not look like genuine landrover items, at least the left one doesn't. The left hand wing on a Defender has the air intake for the heater on top of the wing, on both TD5 and Tdi models, the TD5 engine air intake is on the right hand side, not the left.

All looks the same as my 300 tdi and my 300 tdi befor that.

I've left him a voice mail saying I'm interested, wait to here back and then go have a look. His answer phone said it was Brent @ hpi,

Just had a chat with him, he has rebuilt it over the summer apparently. It's registered in his dads name as it insured on a traders policy, it's a defender tdi engine he dint know but he said the turbo goes up, the engine number is just a a number with no letters and it a 2.3 diesel. The number on the engine matches the log book. But the winging should start number should start 11L.

He says someone is going to look at it tomorrow. If they don't want it then he will ring me and I can go have alook.
