thanks everyone, really appreciate it, have put a lot ofhard work into it and i am a window tinter and signwriter/ vinyl wrapper by profession and started 5 years ago so tints to me are no trouble whereas i know a load of people that have tried and will never try again
same goes for the prices, i get trade prices from the warehouse on certain stock so theres no use in me saying prices really as shelf price will set you back £20+ a metre and you need about 10-12 metres for a 90 and an extra couple for a 110, it does wear well as i drive it into the bush when i park it, will take it laing when its done to give everyone a proper verdict tho

had to fit in seing the cousins after work as its been 5 years then escaped and took the bonnet off to tidy up the underside before i do the top while the mrs is on a late shift, someone somewhere decided to stick blue carpet on the bottom with some strong stuff so had to scraper it off and painted it black so looks tidier

The vent on the passangers wing, where did you gey it from? I seen some nice carbon fibre ones but the seller is looking £20 to ship here to N.Ireland. If I get a black one I can get it carbon dipped over here.

you do mean the one on the top part in middle of chequerplate?

looks like the da4000 is drivers side and da4001 is pasengers, they have a dealer locater on their website too but dont give prices

Thanks for the info. I had a wee gander on ebay and there are loads on there. So an investment will be made on pay day

spent a couple of hours on her today and notice this thing is leaking to where the yellow L shape is with the brown stain lol

also wrapped this back corner, stripped all the lights out, sprayed the numberplate light cover to tidy up ad changed the old big square reverse light for a small round light to match the rest, i did put it a bit more to the left at first but didnt look right so centred it there and im happy.

ive took the big triangle reflector off the drivers side and replaced it with these little ones off push bikes to tidy it up a bit but want opinions on placing?
also picked up a tow bar so we can take the horses to shows, give it a lick of gloss black and all fitted on

I think there a regulations to the placement of rear reflectors, they are compulsory so probably come with a max/min height and distance from outside edge of vehicle. Other than that, so long as you are happy with it then all is good

Ye there are but all I could find that size doesn't matter..... Good job lol and they need to be on the extreme edge of the rear to each side so I'd imagine these are legal just wanted to get rid of the big red triangle as it will be a bit messy on the white

fitted some led strips behind the little vents in headlight surrounds, also put some on underside of bonnet which come on when you lift the bonnet up and give a nice clear light on everything in the dark, forgot the pik of that tho, also painted half of the chassis ad underneath black

i got home this morning to this, someone decided to plant trees in the landy's wheels, a good use of them for any gardener

its been a while so thought id better throw an update, the defender kinda looks the same bar a few more electrics and fun bits, ive decided to swap the 19j for a 300tdi out of a disco so i went and picked this one up

its a very tidy car apart from need a lot of welding on the body so was due the scrapyard as i put my foot through the floor

then started stripping it down, the plan is to use the whole electrical, mechanical system and blend the 2 dash's together

and heres the engine the defenders on 130,000 and this is 135,000 so not far off

all pretty boring stuff so far but is now ready for engine out, hopefully over the weekend depending how busy i am with work but i got to buy myself a new shiney 120pc socket set, engine hoist and mig welder

so more updates hopefully to come soon what do people tend to change/upgrade while the engines out as i will be giving it a nice tidy up while its out

i will just as soon as its finished il take it for a victory run and get it filthy lol
