Just though I would say I have finally got my 1st evnture into the Landy scene with a Freelander.

Not quite my dream defender but its a start

What is a series 1 defender?

That's me basically getting it wrong sorry. I want a early Defender is what I should say

I had my Freelander for 10 years- did me proud

I am looking for my first landrover, I've borrowed a few over the years but can't decide on a disco 2 or splash the cash on a freelander 2.

Any thoughts?

I thought about a disco but ended up going with a freelander. Did look at some of the fl2 but just over my budget but I do really like them

I'd go for the Disco 2, but then again, I'm somewhat biased!

A D2 is more capable off road than a freelander imho.. and it's proper 4 wheel drive with live axles, a transfer box and low & high ratios....:flame:
