Hi all,

Had my 110 nearly 4 years now and done a few small adjustments over the years. but now i have some time on my hands im doing a bit more.

Started to board and interior line the back of my 110. Unfortunately ran out of lining so have to wait for the next delivery to arrive.
iv ordered some 90 degree plastic trim to neaten up the edges of the lining.

Going to paint the front bar and grills with some textured truck lining spray to see how it comes up. it should arrive monday so will be doing it mid week. has anyone used anything like it before?

Also wired up an led work/reverse light to the reverse camera switch

will let you all know how i get on over the weekend.

footwell corrosion. Unfortunately a standard problem. there are repair panels available, however it is not a job I have ever done.

It's not too bad tbh, if you have any experience of a mig welder?

Pattern footwells are fairly cheap (assuming because they're needed so much)

Access is okay on the passenger side, just unbolt the floor plate, and maybe the gearbox tunnel if it's spread far enough. Better to sort that now whilst it's relatively contained. The longer you leave it, the more you'll end up having to replace!

As @johnsonca9 , if you can mig good panels are readily available. I've just completed mine. Good quality/fit and sensibly priced panels from YRM https://yrmit.co.uk/product-categor...ead-right-hand-drive-land-rover-defender-110/

Thanks lads,

Need to start getting some welding practice, maybe now is the time eh? those panels aren't bad price at all are they @v8250, will get one ordered and try fit it, the passenger side needs doing asap.

Got front bumper and grills sanded yesterday and the last bits done this morning

I would start to have a good look around the bulkhead and footwell area, there could well be more than just this lurking. Seems to be some bubbling on the footwell side panel too, try to catch it early.

£90 sounds about right - silicone hoses are expensive, what are you trying to achieve that the oems won't deliver. If you are doing the radiator and hoses you may as well do the water pump and thermostat anorl. The oem hoses, water pump, thermostat and coolant will be cheaper than the silicone hose set :D

yeh just looked at all the set, think thats what i will do. the rad 100% needs doing, and the water pump was done 2 years ago.

Just been gifted a new steering wheel for my landy.

will get round to putting this on at the weekend i think

That’s a nice wheel, l may get one for mine, let me know what you think of it when it’s fitted.
Also do you have any idea what model of Momo wheel it is?

its been months since iv been on! didn't realise it was that long.

fitted the steering wheel and its made a big difference, next big task is to re spray the entire body work, think its going to be raptor paint

"Also do you have any idea what model of Momo wheel it is?"

I've had a 14-inch Momo Race on my 90 for years, fitted with a slimline boss it is very comfortable and leaves the stalks within easy fingertip reach. Fit a standard boss and you may find them just out of comfortable reach, with a standard boss & Snap-Off adaptor you will find you have to remove your hand from the wheel to operate the stalks.
