Hello! I just bought a Discovery 4 2015 without factory installed mudflaps.

My discovery have unpainted wheelarches and unpainted rearbumper.

I think i have searched everywhere by now but i cant seem to get a grip of what I need exactly.

I THINK i have found correct part number for the mudflaps (rear: CAT500010PCL and front: CAS500010PCL)

But several sites says that the rear ones do not include “metal bracket”. So is my part number only for replacement? Where do I find to buy the bracket?

Or even better, can you guys point me to a complete kit with all four mudflaps that fits my car?

And a side question, some sites says that you cant have runningboards/side steps and mudflaps, i do not have sidesteps, but i like to buy some further down the road. To i need to buy some special mudflaps for that to work? I think have seen disco4 with both.

Hope you can help me out!
Thanks!

Hi, I can’t confirm the part numbers that u have, but suppliers are selling the “mud flaps” as 2010 onwards, and some do include the brackets I’ve seen in my very brief Google search.
It usually the case that when are side steps when the vehicle has existing front mud flaps fitted the flaps are in the way, as they protrude out obstructing the step at ist leading edge, you could modify the mudflap so it clears the side step, which was easy on the older disco with the rubber mud flaps, cut the rubber or move them inboard 50mm, but yours will be moulded plastic, but then there’s nothing to stop u cutting a piece out, it will only be a 50mm or so cut out shaped to match the profile of the step.

Again with the early disco there was a plastic mud flap available to fit the the leading edge of the step available (I have them) so something similar maybe available for the D4 side steps but I expect that will be only for ‘LR genuine parts’.

Links to mudflaps I but believe they are called “water diverter” by some available in the uk.

Might be of no hlep at all, but I believe genuine flaps come with the metal brackets and the copy ones dont
.
I fitted cheapy copy ones to my D3 and I think the silly brackets might have made them better (but not 50 quid better!) but over 4 yrs later they are still there doing their job nice and secure.
