Hi Everyone,

My much loved P38 4.6 HSE LPG is for sale, looking for around 3k.

Its listed on GumTree Here https://www.gumtree.com/p/land-rover/1999-v-range-rover-p38-4.6hse-lpg-imaculate/1145527344 (hope i've not broken any rules).

Some of the key points:

Anyone who knows the P38 will understand the "pain points" and i can say these have all been addressed, including:

1) New Top Hat "Thor" Engine installed at 123k (Current Mileage 138K)
2) Recent New Alternator and Massive Battery (in the last 2 months)
3) New Crank Position Sensor
4) New CV Joints
5) New Heater O Rings
6) New ABS Accumulator
7) New Fuse Box
8) New Gearbox Oil Cooler
9) New Suspension Air Springs
10) Powerflow Stainless Exhaust System (Sounds Fantastic)
11) Clear Front Lenses and Red/White Rear Lenses

The Paint work is in great condition with no rust. It's a lovely car, i have a mountain of invoices (including the lifetime warranty on the exhaust). I also have another set of airsprings (supplied when i bought the vehicle) and a full set of rubber mats, i also have the EKA and Radio Codes as well as the EKA Key and full book pack.

Are there any issues?

There are 2 small issues

1) LPG System cuts back to petrol (seamlessly), under very heavy load, i.e foot to the floor in Sport Mode. The LPG System does not do this at any other times and drives flawlessly with no driver intervention, even on the motorway. This has been checked (and documented) by Dorset LPG, who confirmed it is because the diameter of the delivery tubes is slightly too small, so when the engine demands masses of fuel, the system cuts over to petrol. Apart from the beeping when it cuts over you wouldn't know as there is no jerk or perceived change in performance.

2) At low speeds (eg pulling into or reversing out of a parking space), there is a clunk from the transfer box. This has been checked by a local independent and is purely "slack" on the drive shaft splines. This is the only condition it happens in and there are absolutely no other noises from the Diff, Gearbox or Transfer box when driving.

The Air suspension also works perfectly with no issues as does the Low Range on the Gearbox. There are no leaks from the engine, or inside the vehicle.
