Mpg run

Right I've been having a test of my mpg after my bg engine service, new I carry tools and weight at times in the L series freebie with event all terrains on and I'm getting 27 to 31 mpg on in between short spurt heavily loaded runs and upto about an hrs run.
So what's the best type of distance run to proper test the mpg ?
Would like to know the average 0-60 peeps L series also so I can compare that as mines dramatically increased after the service..

The only comparative test I suppose is just driver and maybe passenger on an open road run for a few hours - as near to a full tank as pos. You should get about 40MPG - a couple of MPG either side.

Difficult to test around town or laden MPG because differences in conditions and weight. For example our around town MPG is just over 34MPG - but town driving in Chch is a lot less stop-start & time stationary than in Manchester.
