How does having them in the tub make from any more secure?
Can fit a cut off in the box so a thief would need to bring a spare battery, only slow them down I know but if it stops a casual thief then its a good idea in my book![]()
But they are already in a box...... I have a red top optimax and a normal battery as well and there is still room for a cut out switch, 200amp solenoid and the electrics for dual batteries. Fit a more secure locking mechanism to the existing battery box would be my answer.
beef up your existing space or fit a solar panel for starting and lob the battery out alltogether..
Instead of trying to stop someone turning her over with the battery, why not fit a flywheel lock? Or a fuel cut of solenoid?
If you want advice let me know. This type of thing is what I like to do.
No just isolates the battery but good pointDoes the battery cut off disconnect the alternator?
