Need to move my LPG tank from behind the front seats in the 110, and put it somewhere else because;-
1. It takes up space in the load/rear seating area.
2. I don't like it inside the vehicle.
3. Would be better ventilated under the wings or strapped to the chassis.
4. I don't off road so no clearance problems there.

Any ideas welcome, and how easy to get fittings etc if longer pipes needed.?
Ta ..:)

No certificate with it anyway  so perhaps I could move it and then get a cert, I think they cost a bit though.

Bought the Landy for towing (see avitar) and would love to go offroading but would like to keep it nice and clean underneath as it's getting on a bit and going rusty. It's a tarmac machine for now and will be worked hard when I eventually get it on the road.
Might consider getting a 90 in the future though and play with that:D

Where abouts in north west england are you? Erm, as for certificates, i know of people who have been bitten about these, i.e. a friend had an LPG audi, and he got it fully checked and certified, then his insurance company told him it was the wrong certificate, they needed a fitters one, etc. Make sure about it!

A bloke i almost bought a 90 off had LPG on it, he got a certificate from the bloke who fitted it, who he knew quite well, for £25.

Make friends with an LPG fitter!

Is the cert a legal requirement then? My insurance didn't mention it although it is stated on the V5 as being ptrol / lpg.

Think I'm going to have to investigate this further, maybe have another tank fitted and cert the lot in one go or something.:)

I don't think its legal no, but i do know that there are many insurance bastards out there who will take one look and just say HELL NO! it aint certified..! It would be advisable to at least find out, if nothing else just so you know wher eyou stand.

By the way, i REALLY don't like insurance companies, i take the view that they are just legalised fraud companies, and i strongly disagree with it being compulsory - i understand why it is nessecary, but there are better systems for it, i.e. what South Africa runs, where your road tax pays your 3rd party insurance, so any other insurance is both optional and extremely competitive.

But then again, i am 19 and have fallen out with them before too.
