I know this is a really stupid quesstion.
I have bought a trailer today and it is a lot heavier than I was led to believe and I need to upend it to store it in the garden, any ideas on how to move it. Thanks

Not sure where the ability/tow capacity of vehicle came into to this, the OP wants to store the trailer:D

Which could really mean his wife doesn’t want to lose the lawn:eek::oops:, I guess we will have to wait.

But if he's not quick in coming back this thread is going ;) everywhere and nowhere side tracked as always:D

He does say in his post that it is a really stupid question. :)

I imagine it is a small unbraked trailer, and he wants to stand it up on the tailboard, to save space.
In which case the obvious suggestion would be to get somebody else to help him lift it up.
But why he needs to ask about that on the internet I have no idea.

He did admit to “ stupid question “ but did say it’s heavier than he thought. Give him a break for admitting it guys:D

Upending is an option but breaking lights every time ouch:eek: sideways may be an option too:D.

Maybe we need more info before we all engineer in a solution that exceeds spending the cost of renting a garage to store it in:D.
If it’s a car trailer parked where you park your car, just park the car on top each night:)

I agree with kermit, get a mate to help but make sure it's safe once you have upended it, things have a habit of falling over when not in their natural position.

ps there's no such thing as a stupid question but you will always get plenty of stupid answers.

Many hands make light work. Bribe friends/neighbours to help you manhandle it?
A pint of ale generally works well over 'ere (or equivalent socially/politically correct beverage).
