Hi

Was under the Fender yesterday having a prod and a wiggle as you do.
I noticed that there is a couple of mm movement at the joint between the front prop and the front diff and a wee drip of fluid leaking out. Can I get some advice please on whether this is going to become a bigger issue and if so what's the solution ?

Thanks guys.

What reg ? How long have you owned it ? Did you grease it ? what kind of fluid ? I assume oil.
I have had movement in mine since I owned it 6 years or so ago so I wouldn't worry too much but I get no leaks so that's a concern.

If the play is in the u/j replacement is cheap and simple so long as you have a bench vice.

If it's play in the actual drive flange into the diff it's a fair bit more involved. The seal can be replaced but won't last if the bearing really needs replacing but a small weep isn't a huge concern. They tend to pour oil out when the bearing gets really bad.

Worth checking the axle breather isn't blocked and forcing oil past the seal.
