Evening all!

I have just taken delivery of a loverly shiney set of HID spots for my 300tdi disco.

I am facing a small problem, The area in which i would like to mount them on the front bumper is a little bit too small. The lights have quite a big back to them which houses the ballast and starter, this is fouling the grill. If i make two metal plates and bolt them to the bumper and then the lights to these, would that be ok? or will i end up with spots that bounce all over the place like they are having a fit!!
any help would be most appreciated!!

thanks
jimbo!!

If you use thick flat bar and stick 2 bolts in it they'll be fine.

That just moves em closer to the grill.

no it wont if you get one such as the standard a bar/nudge bar that bolts onto there the bumper mounts, i had massive lights on, i think 8'' or somethin and there was a good few inched between the back of the lights and the grill

Hi Jimbo,

Where did you get the HID spots from, as I am looking to get a set, and prefer to go on peoples recommendations, so any feedback would be appreciated ;)

Cheers

hi,
i got mine off good old ebay. they are worth 275 quid. (didnt get em for that though)
but i would recommend a company near aldershot called challenger 4x4. paul bass is the owner i bought my very first ninety from him he has started doing hid headlight conv.s and spots.
if he sells them they must be good.
give him a ring and he will sort any thing out for you. really nice helpfull guy. he does mail order if you live miles away.
hope this helps?!
james.
