just been up and got the list infront of me:

steering box has relative movment between sector shaft and the drop arm.

neerside front tyre has ply or cords exposed

off side rear tyre has a cut in excess of the requirments deep enough to reach the ply or cords

both headlamps are loose

buggered rear indicator

windscreen washer provides insufficient water, windscreen washer nozzle missing

hand brake cable is buggered

rear prop is loose

air filter loose in engine bay

so not to bad, he reckons 300 to fix it all except the tyres. im thinking not :)

thats what i thought.
think i will pay him for the MOT, bring the poor girl home and get a mate to have a butchers.

also on a different note went ot the tyre shop to ask about tyres.
they said they can get my kumho KL71s in 235 85 r16 for 95 fitted and balanced etc.
is this a good price?
on the same price they quoted even more for the insa turbo dakars lol in the same size.

Yep not bad that Paddocks are £82 +vat & Delivery and then you'd have top get them fitted.

ive worked it out that for me and mates to do all the repairs ourselves, plus 5 new tyres it would cost roughly 180 more then the mechanic would charge even without the tyres.
so i think thats the plan.

Just get yer head around it & do a few jobs a day;) They are all pretty easy tasks even with a basic tool kit although you may find it easier to get a good used pas box with drop arm instead of trying to remove that ba$tard drop arm:D:D
