Good morning all!
As it's a lovely sunny day I thought I'd have a go at fixing the rear wiper on my 300tdi as it's not worked since I bought her.
But after checking the switch, relay and that there is power to the motor/mechanism it's pointing towards either the motor or the wipe mechanism being faulty.
But it got me thinking.. I've never missed not having the wiper (even when the landy is completly caked in mud) so can I just remove the whole assembly and blank out the hole left without causing an issue at mot time?
My limited understanding is if the wiper system is present it has to work.. But if it's not fitted it's not an mot item so isn't an issue/fail?
Currently I've just refitted the mechanism to fill the hole.. But I'll need to sort it one way or another before it's mot next month.
Cheers.. J
