Hi, im after a few opinions or peoples knowledge please. I sent my defender 90 for its mot today and they have gave me a failure sheet due the drivers seat not sliding back an fourth.:violin:
I was wondering if this is a mot failure or not. I can see why it would be if it had the mechanism to slide but didn't, because if that was not working there would be a fault and you could class that as unsafe.
Mine on the other hand are cobra bucket seats with a solid subframe all made from good strong box section and bolted through the floor were the oringinal seat bolted with big bolts.
I know its been through previous mot's with this and i only took it to this garage as they are land rover specialists and i know there not standard but when i questioned they was not to sure if it was a failure or not themself
any knowledge would be good otherwise im gunna need to buy some new seats which i dont think the wife would be to pleased about after i jus had to get the timing done 3 days ago
many thanks
