Well not as bad as could be. He failed on :-
Nearside and offside front upper and lower steering pivot point has excess play. Think this is the swivel housing bearings, so will try to remove some shims.
Rear a frame ball joint. Speaks for itself.
Panard ball joint worn. He showed me and I think it is actually the drop arm ball joint. Its the arm that comes off the steering box on a splined bar.
Now to me these jobs look easy enough to do but the garage ( a very very well known and respected 4x4 specialist) quoted £300 labour only.I have to source parts. Now if I compare the jobs to the price am I heading for a world of brown sticky stuff if I attempt these jobs on my back in the drive????????????:doh:
