Just tried to TAX the fender for tomorrow and the DVLA website wants to tax it from the beginning of this month cheeky F*****S It's been on sorn and just MOT'd it today

its always been the case that if you want to tax a vehicle part way through the month that it is backdated until the 1st of the month, just in this case part way through is the last day of the month! Just do it on-line after midnight and you are ok as physical tax disks aren't required from 1st Oct

think you can only tax a vehicle from the start of the month IF you apply for tax DURING a month while sorned,
but, you could apply for tax before it runs out, while it is taxed..
yours wernt, so you got the first of the month you applied fors date....
I suspect, if you taxed if from midnight,
but drove it before midnight, you would commit a gate or afence-
or somethink..

Sorry to here that. That the same as me last year spent a fortune on the landy and had no money to run the thing so had to put it off the road for a year...
