For everyone who's not already totally bored of hearing about our Morocco Trip, the movie is now ready. It's over an hour, so by the time you have watched the whole thing you will kind of feel like you went to Morocco yourself :D. It's in HD, so if you have a beefy computer, select HD. Youtube is very slow these days, so it may help to preload the movie, just let it run through without watching, then the second time you hit play it should run smoothly.

Either just search for Leroy the Land Rover, or use the following links.

Brilliant .. just had a session watching them ... ;)

Hey Darren, You're back :p We'll have to catch up sometime, but not right now because I have chicken pox, I've also had mumps and food poisoning since I got back, and all the dust that went in my eye's in the sahara has been coming back out, and that itches like hell

Hwy fella

If yoiu have a full versio let me know. I can host it on my server and let people download the whole thing in one go

Well it's fooking freezing here, had to scrape ice off my windscreen this morning, so stay there as long as you can ;)

Awesome, thanks for putting this up, but it certainly ain't in HD. Not for me anyway!

Well youtube HD is not the same as at my house on my Kuro HD, but it's still better than the normal version. Did you actually select 720p HD ? Because youtube default is 360p..

No what I mean is that I don't have the option to switch from 360p - 480p - 720p as I do on other videos, perhaps it's a problem my end (browser, codecs etc) but I have watched all 7 now, pretty fantastic, really can't wait to set off now. :D

Ahhhh let me guess, you are using firefox ? Anyway glad you liked them, and hope you get out there soon, it's a blast :D

Yeah, can confirm it's a problem with my PC. Tried it on my brother's laptop and it works fine in HD - looks great.

We're planning on a late August - early September trip -- how early do you think we should book ferries etc?

Well you have probably heard the Portsmouth Bilbao ferry is only running till the end of Sept, and then is being retired. The prices have gone up to over £700, so you may want to look at driving through France instead.

From Spain to Morocco you can just turn up, I think Griffdog mentions in another thread that he bought his at the gate, or you can buy them in advance at directferries.co.uk..

Yeah we were planning on touring through France and Spain anyway, then getting the ferry from Algerciras to Ceuta. Probably a good idea to just buy them when we arrive there, because driving through france and spain, we're not going to be able to pinpoint our time of arrival very well.

Absolutely brilliant... inspirational! You know - you guys don't know how much these vids help in getting the imagination running.... I'm now wanting to plan my trip.

Only problem is (or not a problem depending how you look at it) is I have a P38... does anyone know of anyone doing these kind of trips in a p38?

I was looking closely at the vids... was that Disco modified in anyway? only did all the trip without extra jerry cans and on normal tyres? bet it was shagged at the end.

Did you go with an organized trip or just a group of mates planned it together?

Thanks  We organised it ourselves, there is a great book by Chris Scott called Morocco Overland that tells you all you need to know.

The Disco was pretty shagged, and the Disco & Toyota also sat out some of the harder (and most spectacular scenery) bits. I think you would kill a P38 doing what we did... hell I half killed my 90 :D

But then we specifically went the less travelled (harder) route, you could do the whole of Morocco on sealed roads if you really wanted, but I don't really get people who buy land rovers then go on expeditions and drive on sealed roads wherever possible ?? You could do a less mad route and the P38 would make it no problem, may end up shagged though :p

New suspension and tyres are a must, the Disco had new springs and shocks, but blew two of those old road tyres and I guess he is lucky nothing bad happened.
