good morning guys and gals.hello from sunny st austell.

Me and my brother have recently bought our fathers old land rover back that he bought in 1970 and sold it in 1982.he sold it because mother said so.anyway we tracked it down and bought it a month ago.dad modified the landie when he had it put in a rover p4 2.6 engine in later axles with floating half shafts if i remember rightly.and also has a map development whinch on the front.father was chairman of cornwall and devon land rover club in the 70's.he did alot of comps in it.the old photo is when dad had it in the 70's rest are recent.

Must be nice getting that back again. Is yer Dad still around to see it..?

yea.we told him fathers day we had bought it.he had a big smile on his face.mother did to because it was there favorite landie.dads already got his hands dirty on it.but he hasn't got his health anymore so struggles to help us do bits to it but he still remembers everything he done.when he painted it black he put his initials on the panels then proceeded to scratch paint off to show us so yea panels are looking all origianal.he's still got all his trophys and old films with him trailing it.so we got plenty of stuff for a write up on it when we take it to shows.just to correct my earlier post (dad told me off)it still got series 1 axels but series 3 guts.and the winch thats on it was one of a kind so he informed us.the bar at the front where the rope goes under has got a catch on it so you can slide the bar out to get ropes on easier with out feeding it through.
