Just been and recovered my mate, who's N/A 90 had spluttered to a halt near Larnson. The Lift Pump wasn't lifting anymore, so I changed it at the side of the road for one I had kicking around and vrooommm, he was away again.

The failed Lift Pump had been on there less than a month, and yes it was a ****part one.

Why do people keep buying their crap? It only encourages them to make more!

I've had the same problem with my lift pump. My disco has had 4 on it and I've only had it 6 months !!!! The ones I had keep leaking oil and one kept meting air in the fuel line. Paddocks said they have had problems with them when I asked !!! The problem is that no one else make them other than land rover and britpart. So there's not much choice. If someone else could make a good one at a good price then they would make a packet !!!

I put an electric pump onto my old 19j...now upgrading to 200tdi and in 2 minds whether to leave lift pump as is...or just fit electric anyway.

LR Series only list Genuine (fer £125!) or Britpart (fer £15) on their web site. Might be worth givin em a call though.
