A good tip if you don't want hammered on weights is to clean the barrel of the rim before sending it to a tyre place ;)

Not many bother cleaning the rim to stick the weights on, so they just hammer them on the outside ;)

I used to fit tyres and we always understood that alloy wheels in good condition would automatically receive stick on weights.

Perhaps it was remiss of me to assume that they would have seen my super clean wheels and just stick new weights on...

It won't be happening again though o_O

It’s good to you back enjoying the beast :)

Good to be back. Took her for a run up Drumossie about an hour ago. Was pleasantly surprised at the fact she kept 70mph. Dropped a gear a couple of times, but with the previous engine she'd be 4th, 3rd, 4th, 3rd, 4th, 3rd, all the way up.

Tried out my roof light too. Not bad for a cheapy. Thinking about getting a cree one with more lumens though. I can put this one to the rear and sort out those clowns who refuse to dip o_Oo_O

Anyway, leading up to crimbo, I'll mostly be doing the roof lining and the driver seat cushion leather. Mines got a massive scratch so I got a clean one to replace it with.

Might rebuild the spare EAS valve block and pump too :) Stock it in the boot with a spare front & rear air spring in case she shits herself far from home

All good :)
