Did Land rover ever do a monaco blue, I have got a 2001 Defender 90 and thought it was Monte Carlo Blue, I have touched a couple of dings up on it recently but it looks to light.

Around 2000 BMW sold Land Rover to Ford. I had an 03 reg 3 series that was Monaco blue and a similar aged Mondeo that was almost the same shade of dark blue, so it may be worth looking at the different makes in case they used the shade you are looking for??? They were both metallic paint finish though.
I think a specialist paint shop should be able to trace your paint shade from the chassis number.

any decent paint & panels supplier will come out of there shop with a paint chart to find the correct colour, and even "age" the paint if nessasay,
mine does here in "sunny Clacton on Sea"
a crackingly good paint shop with a 6 day a week service too.
