I brought a 90 to the US two years ago, keep it as original as possible. I would get any body work done over in the UK but you can get all the mechanical parts over state side through Rovahfarm or Lucky8. Trevor who runs Rovahfarm is from the UK and knows defenders well. It is just body panels cost a lot of here, that's why I'd recommend getting body work done over there.

But then again to convert to lefthand drive you are going to need a new bulkhead, dash, etc. which requires stripping all of it apart anyway so you might want to get the conversion done there... or just get all the parts in the US... so many choices...

Thanks for the information. I will plan to get all mechanical work done in the UK and spraying done over here. How difficult / expensive do you think it is to go from RHD to LHD?

flipping over to LHD is pretty extensive... how much mechanical work are you getting done?? if you are getting a fair amount of work done to it then tell the guys over there to get the LHD conversion done, or try get a military one that is already LHD, but then you are running the risk of the military one being beat a rust bucket and in terrible shape. Who are you getting your work done through over there, one of the importers? Liveridge and Foley do a lot of exports of defenders and do the LHD conversions and would do all the mechanical work you could ever dream of, just depends how much you want to spend!
