We live in France and at the end of August bought a 2003 Discovery TD5 from a reputable Landrover dealer. At the time of writing this post it is back with the garage due to both foot wells filling up with water whenever it rains. Anyone out there have the same problem? It is still under manufacturers guarantee but if this is a problem that can't be fixed then we want our money back.

I may add that the last Disco we bought has lasted us 15 years and still going strong.

Just do a search here on sunroofs. They all leak, but it can be fixed, although not usually by dealers it seems. See Mantamad's guide Discovery Sunroof Guide for more info.
 
Thanks for info. Will wait and see what the garage come up with. Hope we haven't bought ' a pig in a poke '... knowing our luck we probably have as it cut out going round a roundabout also...garage checking that out too together with turbo not kicking in. Must say it looked lovely sitting on the forecourt...if I don't laugh I'll cry

there are grommits in the inner wing, remove these and there is a hole about an inch in diameter straight into the inside of the car at the back of the dash also the rubber grommit that the wiring harness goes through into the interiour of the vehicle !
 
Stick your air con on, on a hot day after twenty mins or so it will be running out a pipe underneath gear box area, this panicked me when I first saw it, if this is blocked apparantly you get wet carpets.

Just a thought

this is also true if your incontinent ! but you also get wet seats with that one :)
