Just been sent a route by email but cant see the route on MM. Others ive had have gone straight on. They are .mmo files, any ideas please.

get em to resend. it and download it to ya PC before trying to open it. you could try MM import feature to see if that will open it up

On the flip side, have you loaded saved data? I had this problem yesterday. First time I've had to do this. Created a new route on my PC then emailed it to myself. Couldn't see the route on my ipad until I loaded saved data on the flip side.

I'll have to borrow an ipad sometime to sort this ..
Sat with TopCat a while back and got the 1:25k maps to load on his, did you get that sorted David?
Something like using itunes to view and send other files to ipad .. they don't get passed over on a normal synch.

Just a thought, I use 1:50 would the 1:25 routes be compatible when emailed.

Yes an MMO route is basically a list of gridreferences when you open it. it displays a WAYPOINT at each grid reference in the list then joins em together like a dot to dot. Same with a track. The map scale isn't included in the file.

Ok, got the file by email. I can open it in OS MapFinder, ViewRanger and Memory-Map, but only as a trail, not a route. Did you make/save it as a trail or a route?

It was just a tracking of a route we done, was not saved as a route.

Ok, it opened all right in all three program's. 1:50 in Memory-Map. My normal view in the other program's, I don't have other options in ViewRanger and OS maps.
