Fixed :p

Cause? Feckin vacuum pipe to manifold :(

I have already checked this a few times, but nothing to see until yesterday I decided to remove it (for another reason) and it fell apart in my hand!

The split was behind where I was looking so I couldn't see it.

Anyway, I cut off the split section and used heat shrink tubing to fix a section of (wait for it) air line hose to join up the short section. Lighter shrunk it tight and towed a car 23 miles north today and WOW! it was a whole new car :)

Soon, I am mostly purchasing new rubber (or better) pipework for all the stuff that will need done.

Really REALLY pleased though :)

Glad you found it. I think a few suggested air leaks but they can be a right bugger to find, especially when it only happens when you're driving!
I must check all mine see if it's something like that causing the flat spot!

Reminds me of the Eric Morecambe comment to Andre Preview. "I'm playing all the right notes—but not necessarily in the right order." :D:D:D

Not CC (although that's next on the list), a hose that's Tee'd into and goes to the LPG mixer. It's no longer used, but I didn't have an inline connector so simply fixed the hose to the mixer until I can get an inline jobbie.

I think around a foot of 5mm silicone hose would do, then I plan to use just a couple of cm on each end of spare airline pipe (I had to buy 30mtrs to fix my air leak) and use the silicone stuff to make the join. That way I should have enough to do both CC and vacuum pipe replacement :)

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT??? :eek::eek::eek:

On way to Hamish to get codes read.... Stumble, stutter :( Not again

Code read, MAF permanent fault!?

Plugged in original, fault gone!

Turns out the brand new Bosch MAF was faulty o_O

New one be in Tuesday or Wednesday (TNT had their computers hacked (I know what I would do to these c*#ts, and it would also involve hacking...at their nether regions :mad: so they losing hundreds of thousands in lost revenue).

Imagine that? It was perfect all yesterday, leading me to believe I had cured the problem by swapping MAF, plugs and finding an air leak, then new MAF reproduces the exact same issues :rolleyes:o_O

Thing is, old MAF seems to be fine... I'll maybe put the new one in a safe place in the house ;)

In the black bin around the back would be a good place for it.
