Military fuel tanks

After an embarrassing hour looking for the fuel tanks when I first got my new baby I've now accepted that she has two hidden under the seats. Is this a military thing? Does anyone has any experience of this?

early landies had filler under seat too and later on passenger side if extra tank was fitted

Usually on the bulkhead some ware there will be a tap to select either the left or right tank. It should also change over the fuel gauge to the selected tank.

Yep found it on the drivers seat box.
