I have Microcat and have it working, but can prices be downloaded from somewhere? Can anyne point me in the general direction for this, or say it's not possible so I can stop searching?

;)

I've been using it solely to get part numbers, exploded drawings etc for my own use and will continue to do so, but I'd also like to draw up an itemised list that's also priced so I can get an idea of what a project/breakdown etc is likely to cost me.

Notl worried about it being totally up to date, indeed it's not necessary at all, but it'd just be nice to have the facility .. :)

you got it to work???
how did you do it? I've installed and then ran the patch, a DOS window comes up saying file has been copied.

when i try to start, comes up saying get a newer version???

hoo yeh, don't know where you could get prices from..lol
sorry for the hijack on your thread.

The prices are already in the program but are so inflated that they're pointless. Price for a complete rear axle is about £2500   IIRC!

Hmmm, just comes up as a row of #####'s when I do a parts list .. any idea how I enable prices?

I use MC all the time at home when i need to go shopping for stuff,, currently running January 2009 version, but the prices don't change that much... certainly not so much that you can't guesstimate what your shopping list will come to.

To enable the pricing, start up MC, where you enter your password and username, don't enter anything but click "Administration" instead, then click "pricing controls.

On the left side, enter "15.00" into all levels and it should fill in the other 3 blanks (if not, then just type it in anyway), so that's the VAT sorted.
underneath, you can tick whether the price shows is including or plus VAT, your preferance.

Then click "Tax tables, and enter 15.0 for the three codes 0,1 & 2

then click OK, and then log in as usual.

Pricing should then show up.

Thanks diesel jim ... works fine now following your numbers ... I'd tried with all sorts and had 'partial' success, when you point it out it's obvious really!!

Many thanks ... ;)

No probs mate :beer2: it took me a while playing with various settings too.

The good thing is, when (or if) you upgrade to a newer version of MC, it keeps all your old settings, so pricing and login details stay put.

Hi I have an old copy of Microcat and can't enable the prices.
Which torrent site did you download it from?

No, I have one from a torrent site ...

Or

" paul did you get the 2008 one from hidden within my site mate?"

Where is it hidden on your site?

Thanks
Graeme

Hi
My copy of Microcat does not have the options listed above so I'm not sure what else you can change to make the pricing work?

Cheers
Graeme

Why do you want the price option?? they are LandRovers RRP and no one not even main stealers actually use those prices anyway & unless it's a very recent copy of MicroCat they are going to be anything upto 4years out of date. :

Hmmm... If it's not got the pricing structure on it (god knows why, even the old EPC system had it) then you'rs must be very old (or corrupted) so even if you did get the pricing to work, then it would be waaaay out if date.

I've got January 90 on my PC's here, PM me for my address and fling a couple of blank CD's i the post and i'll burn them for you (later MC uses 2 CD's)
