well i have looked the net high and low and still cant see a resolve for this problem,

i have installed it, changed the .dll file and fixed the screen settings to suit (im running it on a panasonic Toughbook CM-M34) and im getting the following message.

"Microcat could not locate the Land rover CD-ROM in any drive. Please insert the Land Rover CD-ROM or mount the network drive."

Any help please?

G'day Garrett.....I have a similar problem since I lost my old LR EPC program and installed Microcat. Despite replacing the DLL file, it's still looking for a "Dongle". I have searched every pub in Edenderry and elsewhere and can't find it ! :beer2::beer2::beer2::beer2: Anyway, there is a P38 owner not far from me who is a PC Guru and has managed to get it up and running on his PC. Did him a favour and he will get me sorted with it.
As soon as I get it done, hopefully I will be able to let you and others into the fix. Hope to get over to see him soon.

Yup, daemon tools will do the job nicely, that's what I use.
Also, try googling for microlaunch.exe . It's a program that automatically sets the correct date depending on your version of MC and it's a great help for those of us with problems sorting the months by name :)

ok so still no joy, the deamon tool lite wouldnt work on 2000 professional, so used power ISO mounted the original folder and no joy, then mounted the program file and still no joy. am i doing it right?

If you have mounted the .iso file it should appear as a drive in Windows Explorer.

Left click on it, then right click and select Autoplay and then you should get the Microcat Install menu.

Well I have just downloaded Matt's software and followed his instructions and it worked perfectly for me.

When you say "its openable and useable but wont open the software", it would help if you could:-
* confirm that you have created the shortcut on your desktop, and that this is what you are using to start Microcat
* right click on the icon and click on Properties, and tell us what is showing in the 'Target' and 'Start In' boxes
* confirm the folder that you have installed Microcat into. Is it c:\MCLRE?
* tell us exactly what happens when you double click on the desktop shortcut

Did you ever find a solution for this? I'm having exactly the same problem as Ireland.

Any help would be appreciated,
Cheers
