metal slithers in IP

So - anyone ever seen metal slithers coming from the return line on an injection pump? Its a prince of darkness unit.

Sort of explains my cutting out issue (cuts out 1 in 3 times when I start it just after accelerating off). It always restarts after about 5 seconds of cranking.

And on idle its hunting a fair bit - I think the idle speed governer is dead.

Well thanks to Porthos I will have a new IP, and injectors by the end of the week!

The cam ring and rollers are breaking up,just be careful the metering valve does not stick in full fuel.

I thought it might have been the transfer pump but the cam rollers would make more sence.

I will strip it down once its off and post some pictures.
