Had some clunking and shuddering going on, so I got underneath to give the prop shafts a shake.

The front UJ on the front prop shaft has lots of slop if I hold the differential side of it steady and wiggle the prop shaft side of it with my other hand - I'm guessing that it's time to replace it?

And the rubber thing between the rear prop shaft and the rear differential looks in rough shape as well, but what the hell is it called in technical terms? (searching Paddock's site for "donut" and "rubber thing on prop shaft" hasn't worked out).

Your Uj is deffo knacked.
Don't know the official name for the rubber thing, 110s haven't got one.
+1 - don't drive it like that, in case it lets go..... ( if you need to, remove the prop and put it in diff lock )

The "Rubber Thing" is part number TVF100010. Its correct name is spelt "doughnut" I advise that you replace the center bush in the prop at the same time, and, if the pin in the diffs driven flange is worn, then replace that too. If you don't replace the center bush, the coupling will likely fail quite quickly.

I also advise you use genuine GKN - the alternatives are not much cheaper, and IME are rubbish.

fleabay has the GKN kit (STC2794K) and new bolts and washers for about £45, delivered. (item #
