Message engine immobolised

Hi all, it;s nice to do a diffrent thread and not a problem with my EAS.
Had something strange happen today. Went down shops switched RR of and done shopping. Went back to car opended doors by remote all ok.
Put key in ignition and got message ENGINE IMMOBOLISED PUSH REMOTE??
Took keys out went outside locked and re-opened doors by remote and all ok. Key back in ignition and she fired, strange???????
Any ideas guys.

Oops for info RR is a 1998, 2.5 DSE

Think yourself lucky that the key fob worked when that happens to me i usually have to put the key code in and get it right the first time or wait for up to 3 hrs before i try again

Ouch, I take it, it may be an idea to carry my EKA code in my wallet.
Still wondering what caused it???

It's a P38, doesn't need a reason........they're all female, and get grouchy now & again ffs!

I spoke to Datatek about this he suggested Graphite Grease worked for me, not sure what causes it though Hope this helps

mine does it all the time if I put the key in the igniton when its already unlocked ......
just press the key fob and its sorted .........
