Quick update.
Have continued striping off the springs etc and loosened off engine and gearbox bolts.
New chassis arrived today:)
Now got to prep and paint it.

I now have a hatred of suspension bushes and I have broken my vice trying to press them out.
This week will involve overhauling the rear springs and associated components.
Saturday is the big day. Lift the engine and gearbox and swap on to the nice new galvanised chassis:)

Finally the weather has warmed up enough to re commence tinkering.
(Sorry, I'm a fair weather tinkerer)
This weekends task was to prepare the rear tub for painting (it wasn't, it was meant to be fuel tank and lines plus brake pipes but my craddock order still hasn't been dispatched!!)

After cleaning off the waxoyl, it looks like the main floor and all supporting parts are suffering wire worm :(
Bugger.
Looks like yrm are going to be getting a healthy chunk of money!

Hopefully regular updates can now continue:)

So much for regular updates and making the most of bank holidays. I'm sure that even when you have left home, parents can mess up the best laid plans. In this case, one of them decided to die on me!
Anyway, this weekend just gone I continued to strip apart the rear tub and actually managed to refit something. Only the hand brake, but it felt good to put something on rather than taking something off.

Now waiting for a response from YRM to help me with what I need for the tub!

More tinkering today.
Rear break lines sort of fitted.
New fuel tank fitted (fek me, s**tpart really are just that)
Front brake pipes tomorrow then more panel beating!

Spent the weekend beating the front wings back into some sort of correct shape .
I think the head lamp panels are beyond economical repair, but a face muck bargain came to the rescue.

Not much to report of late.
Still prepping bodywork and finding more things that are broken.
Today however I did pick up a small panel from the spray shop after a trial spray.
It feels like a little bit closer to the end.
