Just fitted one via tee piece to a friends Land

Rover Hill climber which has, he says, a Rover v8 engine in it. Have fitted the tee piece and switch into the switch housing on the oil pump but now the gauge is not falling to zero when the engine is stopped, have tried bleeding the oil pipe but just wonder what the second oil pressure switch is for- a we in the wrong 'ole?

You only need one switch for the low pressure oil light, I would swap them over , my mechanical oil pressure gauge works ok when in the original hole , it does have a plastic oil pipe, though. And in. 2286cc engine

Thanks for that
I was wondering what was the purpose of the lower switch? Wonder if it's to indicate when the back pressure on the filter gets too high. indicating time for a filter change? Or if we have just chosen the wrong hole for both the new low pressure and the guage takeoff
Thanks

They should be interchangeable so it shouldn't matter which one you use, the top hole is usually blanked off and people usually use the one at the filter. Swap them over and check.
