Never had a proper AWD and just saw my Series 1 Disco by side of road. She's 1998, last of the series 1's. Had her a year, she has been reasonably well looked after and I have proper fallen in love with her. Usually probs (as I now understand)
Door activators, rattly dash, bit of bodywork rust, diff lock won't engage. Only has 107000 miles. All original and I have a long list of bits to do but I smile whenever I drive her even if I have to wait for a big gap to pull out (slow from the off). She's now an Essex girl. Oh, she's a 300tdi manual.

Diff lock needs lube and regular use ...
Door activators, usually can be changed / lubed, might be knackered or just old and dry ...

Get her running as best as she can before thinking about a re-map...

Hi and welcome!

The disco 1 is a great vehicle, just keep on top of the rust prevention/treatment. They have their faults but lots of help and advice on here.
