Hi, finally aquired a Series 1, with the blessing of the better other half,


A rather strange aquistion since I remember seeing my landy running on the road around 20 years ago. Fortunately it has been donated to myself FOC since previous owner does not have the time to put back to a working order.

So what is it?

1950 Series 1, 80inch, V8 engine (assume SD1). Has stood in a garage for 10 years, but unfortunately the locals broke in several years ago and smashed all the glass (well windscreen and lights). It is looking a bit sad. Does anyone remember Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!!!

Anyway trailered from Hertfordshire to Suffolk last Friday and now gathering my thoughts as to what to do.

What I do know is that it requires a new bulk head for starters, does anyone have a suitable suggestions?

Or any other advice.
