The land of the almost free :)
I have recently replaced the front callipers , all three flexible hoses have be changed for braided good ridge ones also. New rear brake lines.

Following these alterations I couldn't get a solid pedal with the engine on, it is fine when off. I bled the system using easy bleed and the standard two man operation.

Using easy bleed the fluid is clear of bubbles until the pedal is pumped then I get air from every bleed nipple. So I changed the master cylinder for a new one (britpart, Nuff said). The problem remains exactly the same.

My thoughts are that I have just been unfortunate and got a duff ms.

Forgot to mention its a 1985 defender stylie 90, with rear early discovery axle and disc brakes. :)

Any ideas folks. Cheers.

my grey matter stirs..
does my disco have 3 bleed nipples on each front caliper,

did I bleed the main 2 at the same time ??

the grey matter suggests all 3 nipples being bled at the same time via 3 rubber pipes with 2 windscreen washer pipe type T pieces joining the 3 into one pipe into jamjar with fluid in bottom.
no good a drawing but,
bleed rubber pipe to the 2 side nipples join in 1 T piece
the middle nipple bleed rubber pipe goes to the 2nd T piece along with rubber pipe from 1 T piece,
the end rubber pipe goes into jamjar..

does that make sence??
I had to daw it out on paper to see if it works.

Three nipples per calliper? I have only ever seen one. What am I missing here.
