Marshall SPV/Special Vehicle

Hi all

got a little project today, nothing instantly important about it other then a riveted Marshall SPV Cambridge plate on the slam panel with a serial number and a Special Vehicle badge on the boot.
Nothing seems out of the ordinary on it and research brings up they used to build military vehicles and engineer aeronautical items.
Anyone have any more information?

I found Marshall's to be quite unfriendly when I was in touch with them over something completely different, but it would be worth a call (armed with serial numbers) to the vehicles bit to see what they can tell you. Also... I think @jamesmartin may have some inside knowledge (or have I got the wrong bunch James?).
