Hello,
I've used the forums for a long time and finally had to give in to asking a question as I'm stumped. I have a small issue with a "Market Not Set" fault on the Dash. Fault on a 1998 P38 DSE Manual. The vehicle is in use daily normally but I have been having random alarms going off in the evening. After parking up in the evening, when trying to set off in the morning I get the low battery symbol up, Market Not Set and it didn't have enough to power to start, but it did try. Once returning from work to try again, there was no life as the dash would not go off by locking the car. Applied a trickle charger and now have an EKA code, which due to a broken drivers side door, isnt entering after waiting (it was on the list to fix).

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Your BeCM doesn't know what country your car is built for and what language to display messages in.
You need a new battery (tip-top) or alternator checked.

And then some diagnostics on it to check/set all the cars options correctly.

Thanks for such a quick reply.
Ok I can get a battery sorted and then check the alternator, how is best to do this?

Would a nanocom check/set the options?

Alternator should put out over 14.2 volts (preferably more) when every device is switched on (lights, wipers, A/C, Heated screens, Heated seats etc.) @ 2,000 RPM.
Nanocom can set most of the options..

Ok, Alternator ok.

Still Stuck with EKA Required, is there anyone on here that has the ability to unlock the BeCM to stop this from happening and fix the "Market Not Set"
