Manifold gasket - quick help please!

Sorry....

I'm in the middle of doing my manifold gasket (obviously needed - see photos!)

On the new one do the aluminium looking bits face the head or the manifolds?

Manifold, as the head has one flat surface and the manifold has three

Mine do, but then again, its a bit of a mess under my bonnet, im sure there is a proper place for them somewhere...

Yep. Open to atmosphere - reason they have that U-bend in the ends to keep crud out.
