I'm fitting a rear winch in my 90 and I have a winch tray to weld in between the chassis legs and I need to make an hatch in the floor for access,

What's the best way to do it?

measure...measure...cut...measure, depends how accessible you want it, something that can be accessed in the field, or somethign that can be accessed at home, if your cutting a hole are you wanting it to seal afterwards to keep stuf dry when wading etc.

my thoughts cut your hole, rivnut arouond the edge, place a rubber seal and bolt a plate down

I was thinking something along them lines. I would need more than a rubber seal as there's holes everywhere and it fills up quick in deep water.

I made a start.

Looking good, keeping an eye on this one as thinking of doing it myself at some point.

Have you or are you reinforcing the floor around the hole ?

I will be riveting plate amount the edge to support the removable panel, the remaining floor feels very strong still.

That's a very neat line assuming you did it all with the air disc cutter?

No my mate had my grinder and the air cutter is abit small so I used my 18v makita recip saw :)
